Scouting

Last week was Gwen's first experience with girl scout camp.  I didn't get to see anything first hand other than the craziness of pick-up and drop-offs (thank goodness for a 3-way carpool with Danielle and Phoebe!), but it was an experience for Gwen who was gone at an all-day camp for a week.  It was an ordeal for me too with the long checklist of things required everyday (mess kit, bandana, bug spray, sunscreen, swimming gear…).  Gwen learned a lot of new songs, how to build a campfire, and got a bull's eye in archery!   Gwen said she liked it the same as a day at school, more than tennis (b/c tennis is so short)... but not as much as a swim meet.
