Our first (and hopefully not last, but weekends are so booked) ski trip of the year! Snow has been sparse this year, but there was just enough for a fun weekend in Tahoma with the Cecchins. Whitney and Molly took a full-day lesson together the first day at Homewood while Paige also partook in ski school while the big kids skied with us adults. Not many runs were open, but there was a nice, long green run that was extra challenging as it was like a mine field of rocks and buses in the shallow snow.
The next day, we decided to try Squaw Valley for the first time. Much better snow for the big kids - Adam and Sara took turns either taking the big kids (Gwen & Clara) or the middle kids (Molly & Whitney) while I took Paige to the beginner section with a magic carpet, one beginner lift with a short green and tubing. I was able to ski with Paige between my legs off the green and after a day of skiing, she wanted to try tubing. Those tubes go down the hill fast! Paige loved it - I only had the stomach to go with her every other time!
After a long day on the slopes, Paige was wiped out. Here she is laying on the floor at the restaurant we gathered at for a few drinks and some food before heading home!
