Labor Day Tahoe Trip

Our first official family vacation as a family of 5 was in Tahoe this past weekend, thanks to an invitation from the Cecchin family to spend the weekend with them at Sara's family cabin.   We left our house at 8pm on Friday night and the kids shortly all fell asleep for the drive- heaven!   Little Paige was her usual patient happy self the whole weekend, sitting quietly in the car (until the last hour of our drive home, when she screamed and cried the whole way home from Vacaville - she had had enough!) and otherwise just enjoying watching the other kids play in the house or on the beach (or the adults play a record 6 games of Catan in 2 nights).

Gwen and Clara had their first spa manicures on Saturday and I had my first french manicure since Gwen was born!  I used to get them all time back when I was a city girl!

Gwen sat patiently during her long manicure, enduring
cuticle trimming and everything!

The girls also showed off their acrobatic skills on the bunjee trampoline!  Gwen and Clara were back flip masters and Whitney showed off some serious smiles as she bounced high up in the air.

On Sunday, we spent the day at Meeks Bay.  Despite a short missing child scare when Whitney wandered off looking for her shoes, the kids had a blast playing in the water, building sand castles, getting rides on a paddle board and even doing some tubing with the daddies!

Adam and Whitney seconds before wiping out.  Looking at this
photo, I could have told you that with any speed, this thing would tip
over.  It's way too top heavy!  Adam looks about 10x too heavy
to be 3 feet above the tube!

And, before heading home, we got a rare family photo with all 5 members.  That's a lot of kids!

Thanks Cecchins for the fun weekend!
