May Days

For Mother's Day, Gwen wrote a book for me, complete with illustrations.  She came with it all by herself, without anyone helping or suggesting it.  The title was "I love you, Mom" and it read:

"Mom, you may think I love you because you're beautiful, but that's not why.

You may think I love you because you're here, but that's not why.

You may think I love you but that's not why.  (she forgot to include a reason on this page)

I love you because you are a part of the family and you are special."

The girls also showered me with pictures and crafts they had made and we topped off the day with cake.

A week later, it was my birthday - more cake!
