Summer Vacations

The last 2 weeks of July held back to back vacations for the Koplan clan.  The first was a last minute trip to Tahoe which doubled as a diligence session on a potential vacation home that we have the opportunity to purchase with 2 other families.  We stayed in a huge 7 bedroom house in Squaw Valley with  my new facebook friend Stever Melen.  An easy 3 hour drive, an amazing bike trail and a nearby village has almost sold me on the idea of a vacation home in Squaw.

Gwen got her first real experience biking on this trip - loops around the Campo track don't count.  She biked all the way from the village to the River Ranch lodge for lunch and back- a good 3-4 mile ride on a beautiful paved trail.

And no trip to Tahoe is complete without seeing the Cecchins.  We met them for an afternoon at the beach and the kids 2nd annual tubing on Meeks Bay experience.  This time, Whitney got to ride all by herself.  Add on bungees, gondola rides, mini golf at the village, hot tubbing and board games and it was the perfect 3 day trip!
