16 months that is... Paige is a super sweet, smiley, chatty little bug who loves baby dolls and has a shoe obsession. She's always pointing at shoes, lifting her foot up wanting you to put a shoe on her, slipping into other peoples' shoes or walking around in my Reefs. She has mastered the art of putting on flip flops.
She measured in at 33 inches long (95th percentile) and 25 lbs 8 oz (75th percentile). She towers over some smaller 2 year olds and isn't afraid to playfully push them around. Paige is super friendly (as long as mom is nearby) and hates to be left with a sitter (other than our nanny).
She's stuck at home a lot while I'm shuttling the older girls to all their activities. So, it was cute one day when I saw our housekeeper take out the broom to sweep the kitchen floor. When Paige saw her, she immediately ran into the playroom and emerged with her toy broom and swept alongside Ah-sen.
She has started enjoying the pool and has had her first few swims this summer at the Cabana Club.
At 16 months, Paige goes down to sleep at 9pm and wakes up around 7:30am. She takes one nap during the day, usually from around 12 or 1 to 2 or 3. She's a great eater (unlike her pickier sisters) and has an easy, independent spirit. She's not really talking yet, but she makes lots of loud noises, some that do sounds like words (like when she says goodbye in Chinese to Ah-sen everyday), and uses plenty of body language including big waves hello and goodbye and hand gestures like pointing and signaling you to follow her.
She is happy, content and easy as you can expect a 16 month old to be (which is never
that easy). Still, if I could freeze her at this age, I would!
