Fall Foto Frenzy

This fall, not only were we back to school, but I was back to work in full force and the girls were back to their plethora of fall activities!  And I thought summer was busy!  Here is a rundown of some of our fall highlights:

Team Campo Kindy Carpool makes a repeat appearance in the NorCal
Kids Triathalon
It was our turn to host the Campo International Grub Club monthly adults-only dinner.  Not wanting to serve Chinese (not really dinner party material) or Jewish food (deli food and pickled fish not right either), we celebrated our Hapa kids with a Hawaiian Luau theme.

The next week, Whitney and her regular playdate buddy enjoyed
 left over party props.

One afternoon, the girls collected crab apples off our crab apple tree.  We brought the ladder over and picked the apples, they washed them and then we made crab apple butter.

Turns out, crab apple butter is extremely bitter!

The girls cleaned up nicely for picture day!
(Paige is still sporting her mop of bed head curls)

Paige's picture day came a couple months
later - and she wanted to look like a princess.

Fall = soccer!  Not just for us, but for most people we know in Moraga.  Between games, we usually run into friends also hitting post-game spots like 7-11, Burger King or Bianca's.

A day in San Jose!  There are few things that I would drive an hour to do, but hitting 3 hot spots - mini golf, the San Jose Children's Discovery Museum and Dave & Busters - was worth the trip one very full Sunday.

One Friday in October, it was all Rheem all the time! We started the morning decorating cupcakes for the Rheem fall picnic cake walk (a tradition I could really do without!).  Then, Whitney was in the annual Butterfly parade followed by her class's butterfly party.  Finally, we had the fall picnic, where the girls couldn't win a cake to save their lives and Whitney won the Kindergarten hula hoop contest!  I was so proud!  All that time spent trying to keep up with her sister (an expert hula hooper!) has paid off. Gwen came in 3rd for 2nd graders - she was robbed!!
