My mother-daughter trip with Gwen this year was to New York where we went full tourist, staying in the middle of Times Square and cramming in 3 shows, a carriage ride in Central Park, an afternoon at the Met, shopping in Soho and a trip to the Statue of Liberty in 3 whirlwind days. Gwen loved the energy of the city as we walked around the crowded streets where shops were still packed at 11pm. With advance planning, I got us great seats to Matilda (we both agreed that Matilda was our favorite show of the trip despite my low expectations), Blue Man Group and the Lion King. I didn't do a great job researching dining options, but luckily we stumbled upon a great tapas restaurant in Soho that was an unexpected dining highlight of the trip. Till next time, New York!
