I took my first turn as a kids sports coach this year, helping Jennifer Rich coach the girls' volleyball team. Jennifer is a real volleyball player and we worked on teaching the girls to bump-set-spike. In classic 3-touch fashion, we lost at first, but then finished the season strong, winning all our later-season games. The girls improved so much and when I yelled out commands and direction, I was doing my job as coach instead of just being an overzealous parent :). Gwen may win the award for most consistent overhand serve. And her bestie Sloan definitely got best underhand serve - they are a serving force. It was a fun season with a great group of girls!
