Gold!

Gwen had popped her freestyle time every meet this season as she inched her way towards her first gold time.  With only a few meets left, we were in high suspense as we entered the Meadow Mini Meet.  A short pool with high blocks laid the perfect foundation for another pop and just maybe her first County qualifying time.  And Gwen didn't disappoint.  With a great start and a no-breather, she raced her way to a super fast 16.41 second Gold time!  Our first trip to County - wait… what did we just get ourselves into?  Oh well, it was such a great moment for Gwen and we couldn't have been prouder!  One of just 8 CCC swimmers headed to County so far and currently the 8th fastest freestyler in her age group in OMPA!
