It was another sunny summer with swim and tennis filling our days! Sitting at MCC from 10-2 every day (at least), I got to read a few books between shuttling the kids to all their various activities. Whitney spent the summer learning flip turns - I think she's finally got them down! And mid-way through the summer, Paige suddenly became a great swimmer! She ended the season winning events in free, breast and back. We didn't have time to try out her butterfly but I'll bet it was strong too. We'll have to keep an eye on that swim career. Gwen quickly got silver in all strokes and was on the A relay even in her down year. She got her first black heat-winner ribbon at an invitational (bottoms up) and had a shot at down-year gold (but came up less than a second short - she's feeling confident about next year!).
All 3 girls also did tennis this summer. Gwen moved up to Performance and played in her first match against Rancho Colorados. She and her partner (Rachel Andre) split sets, but lost the 3rd. Not bad for a first timer! And she only double-faulted once!!
