A Decade!

A blog post with no mention of the kids?  Can it be?  Yes, it is true (except that I just mentioned them in the first sentence).  For our 10th wedding anniversary, we called in the sitter and had a little adult time with my besties.  And none of them have kids (yet), so there was also very little kid-centric conversation.  It's like going back in time and a fitting way to relive 2003.

We rented a limo (the only way to travel!) and spent the day in napa.  The day started with mimosas in the ride up, visiting vineyards, lots of tastings and a long picnic lunch at Ad Hoc.  During lunch, the crew surprised us with an amazing video/slideshow in our honor including video clips with well wishes from good friends all over.  Awwww.... I just love happy surprises.

After a lot of food and drinks, most of us conked out on the ride home. 

When we arrived back in Lafayette, we were still all so stuffed from lunch and the mass quantities of cheese and crackers we had consumed that our 5:30 dinner reservation at Artisan Bistro seemed like a bad idea.  But, the food was so yummy, we all at every last bite of our apps, main course and desert!  And we got the royal treatment, with our names on the menu and a ribbon tied copy of the menu to take home with us to remember the day.
