#3 is 3!

Paige had her 3 year old check-up early this March (singing the do-do-do chorus from Doc McStuffins at every mention of the phrase 'check-up').  She came in at 39 3/4 inches tall (96th percentile) and 36 pounds (90th percentile).  She has edged out Whitney (who was 39 inches and 35 lbs), but Gwen still takes the top spot at 40 inches and 38 lbs.  Paige needed a shot today and she was happily oblivious as to what was about to happen, smiling at me as I was holding her down.  When the nurse swabbed her with alcohol, she laughed about it being cold.  Poor sucker.  And when the shot finally came, she cried out "I don't like that!!".

At 3, Paige is a non-stop talker.  The doctor giggled about hearing her chitter chatter while she was doing her other rounds as were waiting in one of the exam rooms.  She's a leader amongst 3 year olds, the "Queen Bee" of her preschool class, can always find someone to play with, but also plays nicely by herself on the many days when she's home with Ah Sen while her sisters are in school.  While she's way behind her sisters in terms of reading and other academics (sorry third child), the doctor was impressed with her knowledge of colors, letters, shapes and writing ability.  I guess they do learn stuff in preschool.

Paige is our happiest, most outgoing child.  She loves Peppa Pig and TV of all kind.  When she's lounging on the couch, she's my little "lazy baby" and does a little move where she shuts her eyes and shakes her head against the cushions or pillows while saying "lazy baby".   She's a little techie who can navigate her way around an iPad and can play games on the computer that require some critical thinking and mouse control.

And, since it took me almost 2 months after her birthday to finally publish this - I can finally say that she is fully potty trained with minimal to no accidents!  Even over night.  After over 8 years, there are no more diapers in the Koplan household!
