Gwen here is approaching 4 3/4. She's observant, easily frustrated (I see a perfectionist in the making), can really focus when she's in the mood and remembers everything. She still loves princesses and is super girly. She can read real books now, ride a bike, hit a tennis ball like a little pro and is very much looking forward to the arrival of her latest little sister. Gwen likes to be my little enforcer, making sure Whitney gives up her pacifier before getting out of the crib and telling me if Whitney has scissors or has gotten her hands on a knife. She's currently going through a phase where she thinks saying the word "poop" is the funniest thing in the world.
Whitney is 2 years 4 months here and is such a sweet, smart and stubborn little girl! She is very tough and can take a blow or fall in stride. The other day, I accidentally elbowed her pretty hard in the face and quickly apologized and rubbed her injury while she was still in a daze processing what had happened. While Gwen would have really let me have it, Whitney just giggled at my reaction and said "It's JUST a little bump!". While she's generally very tolerant and compassionate, usually letting Gwen have the toys she wants and giving 'thank yous' and 'I'm sorrys" quite liberally, when she does really want something, watch out! Her tantrums are unrivaled. She is currently obsessed with band-aids and likes to put things back in their place. Because she is so rough and tumble, she is often jumping on people or otherwise unintentionally causing injury. She has asked me many times "do you need a band-aid?" This morning, she managed to give Gwen a serious bloody nose.
At almost 2 1/2 now, Whitney is pretty much potty-trained! She still uses a diaper while sleeping, but has otherwise picked up going to the potty in no time!
My two little bugs are completely different from each other, it'll be interesting to see how #3 turns out!
