One of the highlights of swim season for the girls is buddy night. The little kids get paired up with the big kids on the team for activities, food and fun. There's not much that little girls love more than hanging out with big girls- especially teenage girls! Gwen in particular loves hanging out with pre-teens. She is often found hanging by the lifeguard chair chatting with our pool lifeguards or going up and talking to them when they're trying to lay out.
This year, Whitney had her first buddy night and was paired up with Margaret Hunger.
Gwen's buddy was Jio, who Gwen is now in love with.
The girls stayed close to their buddies all night and didn't come visit me once. After the activities were done, the kids started an impromptu dance party. Whitney liked to get right in the middle of the dance circle and just stand there.
