It's April, annual de-weed the sandbox month. Our ridiculously huge 20x18 foot sandbox becomes a wild kingdom over the winter, with more green lushness than I think even our yard exhibits.

This year, both girls were hard at work helping us weed. Gwen was able to get the weeds out by their roots this year and Whitney loved carrying the weeds into the yard waste can. After successfully throwing away some weeds, she would clap and run to give Adam and me big hugs. She is such a little love bug. And look at the difference a year makes - she was just a little baby back then!

This also illustrates the randomness of spring weather in Moraga - last year, Gwen was in her all-weather boots while Whitney was bundled up in a blanket. Far cry from the gorgeous 80 degree weather we had last week. I'll be sad for next week's cool-down.
