We spent Saturday going to the gym, where Gwen ran into a bunch of friends - Gracie, Nikolas and Caroline. Then, headed over the Burger King so the kids could play in the play structure - and Whitney followed Gwen all the way up to the top and ran around the tunnels together and then by herself after Gwen came down. She had a blast up there and I finally had to send Gwen up to get her. Gwen happily climbed up, found Whitney and took her by the hand across the obstacle course to find the slide down saying "Come on Whitney!". It was kind of a big slide for a little baby, but somehow Gwen got her in position to slide down. I heard Gwen say "Here we come!" and I waited at the bottom of the slide and saw Whitney sliding down on her back trying to keep her head up (with a slightly scared expression on her face) and Gwen right behind her with a big smile her on face. We did a little scooting around the backyard with Gwen's new Mini Kick scooter (which she hasn't quite gotten the hang of yet), hit the Commons and then home for dinner, baths, PJs and bedtime.
Sunday started a little slow - Gwen just wanted to stay home and dress up like Ariel. We did make it to Noah's bagels before the lunch rush (where this rude girl who left like half the things off our order tried to convince me it was in the bag before she looked down and found it sitting in the middle of her station) and I learned that Whitney loves pickles! In the afternoon, we hit the Orinda park where they have a big grassy area that has a paved path going around it - perfect set up where I could watch Gwen ride her bike while tossing a ball with Whitney.

When Gwen got tired of biking, she and Whitney would play on the playground together. Whitney's nap was interrupted today, so she started out super cranky and in need of a pacifier (which she calls a 'night night'). We had a major melt down at the coffee shop in front of the library and I had to surrender my Italian soda. But, after a little while at the park playing with her sister and petting puppies, she was in a much better mood.
On the way, went through the gas station car wash, which was a first for Whit. I remember Gwen was a little scared by her first car wash, but Whit was highly amused.
