Tear it down, build it up

We had a few weeks off from remodel madness, but we're back in full swing now with the final step of redoing our kitchen floors.  After trying to figure out what to do with the hole the old laundry room left in our floor, we decided to take out all the laminate and redo the entire kitchen with hardwood to match the rest of the house.  So, here's what our kitchen looks like now:

And here is where Whitney eats breakfast now.  That's her saying "Cheese" which she often does if I'm pointing the camera at her.  But never when we want to get a nice shot of the girls or a nice family shot.  

So, that's the tear-down part.  The build-up part is the girls' latest new toy - megablocks!  It was rainy in Moraga yesterday so I took Whitney to the TJ Maxx down the street to get out of the house and kill some time.  Lord knows there's no walking through a TJ Maxx toys section without buying something.  So, we returned with Megablocks galore, a new big wheel for Whitney and some dot paints.
