Since Gwen was 2, Adam has been trying to teach her to read. She knew all her letters and the sounds they made, but the concept of putting those sounds together just wasn't clicking. She knew a lot of words to date, but she knew them by memorizing them - and when she forgot them, sometimes she would look at the word "hug" and go - "H" - "U" - "G"... "huh" - "uh"- "guh"... "hi".
Well, just a few days ago, Gwen started sounding out words! Adam has been showing her new books with words she's never learned before and she's reading! It's like music to our ears hearing her look at the word "Dot" and go "duh - ah - tuh... ddaahhtttt... dot!"
