This year, we lit up the menorah for eight nights of hanukkah. Which also meant 8 presents per kid. Gwen's birthday party was during hanukkah as well, so it was present mania around here.
The first night of hanukkah was the first present opening of the season, and Gwen gasped when she opened the wrapping paper to find Princess Jasmine! Another friend for Ariel. Adam got Whitney a whoopie cushion, but she was too light so when she sat on it, it just slowly, quietly deflated. It was cute watching her scoot around the floor trying to sit on it though.
8 nights and several new princess toys, Toy Story figurines and bouncy balls later, the new toy thrill had diminished. Gwen did get to light the candles herself (although we ran out of candles towards the end and resorted to lighting our new very cool electric menorah courtesy of Grandma Harriet).
