Disney Day 1

After a llloooonnnggg drive down yesterday, today was our first day at Disneyland!!  We had a reservation for the Character Breakfast at the Plaza Inn on Main Street in the morning, so that was our first stop.  On the way, we picked up an autograph book and princess pen for Gwen to collect signatures of all her favorite characters.  Those items ended up being her most prized possessions and collecting autographs her primary focus of the day.

The forecast today was for rain and thundershowers so the park was unusually empty.  Luckily, it didn't rain too much and the lines were all super short so it made for a great first day!  I learned that Gwen's a little thrill seeker.  She loves the zippy roller coasters (or at least the ones she was tall enough to go on at 42 inches) - especially the one in Toon Town.  However, she does not like rides that are in the dark or rides with scary monsters.  Whitney also loves rides and did not want to get off them when they were over.

Adam and I were totally pooped out by 4pm, so we made it an early day and went back to the hotel and ordered dinner in.  So much for our big plans to see parades and light shows.  Thank god for portable DVD players!  Adam took Gwen out of our suite so I could put Whitney down... and they ended up walking back to the park and made the last California Soaring ride of the night.
