Guk

When Gwen was little, she made up her own word for "pacifier" which she called an "abia".  Since she was addicted to her abia for the first 2 1/2 years of her life, the word "abia" became an household word, used at least 10x a day by her, me and Adam.

Well, Whitney has made up her own word out of nowhere and that word is "Guk" (pronounced like "Book" or "Look" but with a G).  Guk means 'go there' or 'come on'.  She'll grab your hand/push you/try to lift you up from a seated position and, as if she's directing traffic will gesture for you to move with one hand and with the other hand point somewhere and say "Guk! Guk!".   It's her one made-up word just like Gwen had one made-up word.  Go figure.

At almost 17 months, Whitney's vocabulary is growing every day.  My friend suggested I make a list of all the words she says so here goes:

Chinese words:  cat (mao), dog (go-go), duck (ya-ya), horse (ma), milk (niu-nie), dad (ba-ba), big sister (jie jie), little sister (mei mei), hold me (bao),

Hmmm... I'll have to add to this list as I think of them.
